our oil

What’s the difference between hemp oil and cannabis oil, then?

It’s a cannabinoid thing. Hemp is another name for the plant you already know and love — the cannabis plant. “Hemp” refers to the commercial version containing 0.3% or less THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

Why would I want that?

Because thanks to the wonderful gifts of nature, you can still get floaty feels from vaping these other cannabinoids. It’s not better, it's not worse, it's different. It’s beautiful.

Is this a Delta-9 product?

It is not. Our hemp oil comes in three cannabinoid blends, with two containing Delta-8 THC. Delta-9 THC is the major naturally-occurring intoxicating component of the cannabis plant.

What is Delta-8 oil?

turnhemp delta-8 oil is a hemp-derived oil containing Delta-8 THC, a naturally occurring cannabinoid with similar psychoactive properties to Delta-9 THC — but with more manageable effects.

Preliminary research on Delta-8 is promising, with reports of benefits like reduced anxiety and inflammation, pain relief, and improved sleep. Note that research is ongoing, and we have more to learn about the effects of Delta-8.

Regarding experience, turnhemp’s delta-8 uses our in-house blend of natural botanical terpenes to bring you mouthwatering flavors and a relaxed, mellow disposition.

Will Delta-8 show up on a drug test?

The short answer — probably.
Drug tests don't often single out specific THC compounds. Rather, they test for the metabolites created to break down and remove the compound from the system. A high enough concentration of these metabolites flags drug tests.
Because Delta-8 THC is chemically close to standard Delta-9 THC, our bodies use similar methods to process both.
In a nutshell, most drug tests won't be able to tell if those hard-working metabolites came to crush federally legal Delta-8 OR Delta-9.

What is HHC oil?

Another nifty cannabinoid. HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) happens when you add hydrogen molecules to Delta-9 THC in a process called hydrogenation. HHC induces milder psychoactive effects than conventional Delta-9 THC.

HHC can have THC-like effects on the body and mind but is slightly less potent than Delta-8 THC. Perfect for anyone who wants to take the edge off but needs to keep their head in the game. No booze, no problem — I've got work tomorrow!

Will HHC show up on a drug test?

HHC is so new that researchers don’t yet know the exact ins and outs of how our bodies process it, nor is it prominent enough to be screened by drug tests.
But until we know more about the metabolites needed to break it down in our bodies, we can’t be positive they aren’t the same or similar to what flags Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC on drug tests.
So tread carefully, friends.

What is THCa oil?

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a non-intoxicating, acidic form of THC found in raw cannabis plants. In nature, biological processes convert THCa to euphoria-inducing THC over time. With applied heat, it converts immediately.

As far as effects go, THCa and THC overlap in their potential to treat nausea and inflammation, and THCa is also purported to have neuroprotective qualities. Being present in just a small percentage, THC's calmer cousin is perfect for social butterflies who want to get a little loosey-goosey on a Friday night without wrecking Saturday morning.

Will THCa show up on a drug test?

If you’re vaping it, then yes.
Once you’ve applied heat (like with a vape pen), you’ve put THCa through a decarboxylation process that converts it to Delta-9 THC. From there, it will behave that way in your body and, thus, show up on a drug test more or less for the same reasons D9 gets flagged.

Is hemp CBD? Is CBD Hemp?

Does CBD equal hemp? The answer is no. CBD is a compound that can be extracted from hemp, but it is not synonymous with hemp itself. Hemp is a versatile plant with a wide range of applications, of which CBD production is just one. Understanding this distinction is important for consumers, especially when navigating the legal landscape and product labels.

In essence, while all CBD could be derived from hemp, not all hemp contains CBD in significant amounts, especially when considering products like hemp seed oil which don't contain CBD at all.

Understanding the difference between hemp and CBD

Hemp is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for industrial uses. It's one of the fastest-growing plants and can be used to make a wide range of products, including textiles, clothing, paper, biodegradable plastics, paint, insulation, biofuel, food, and animal feed.

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabis sativa plant. It's a naturally occurring substance that's used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive.

troubleshooting

My pod might be clogged, what should I do?

We recommend charging the battery often to avoid clogging to maintain optimal heat levels. You can do this effortlessly by storing your podpen in its podpak charging case.

Other tips to troubleshoot and care for your device:

  • If a pod is clogged, try dry hitting it by pulling on the pod without the battery.

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged before use, and do not use the product while charging.

  • Keep pods and podpak batteries away from extreme heat, cold, and humidity.

  • Replace pods before they are completely dry to avoid overheating.

My pod may be leaking; what should I do?

Although minimal leakage is rare, you can use a cotton swab with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to clean any residue. To prevent leaking, follow these tips:

  • Keep pods and batteries away from enclosed small spaces, extreme heat or cold, and humidity.

  • Do not store pods upside down.

  • If leakage persists or is excessive, please contact us at [email protected]

How to know if the podpen battery is working properly?

To confirm your device works correctly, check that the white LED light comes on during your draw and that vapor is produced.
